Conductor J. Reilly Lewis leads the Cathedral Choral Society and special guests Viktoriya Bright and the National Cathedral School Girls Chorale in the return of its popular Russian Riches program featuring works by some of Russia's greatest composers:
Russian Easter Festival Overture - Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov
Cantata 'Ioann Damaskin' (John of Damascus) - Sergey Taneyev
Cantata 'Hvalite, Boga' (Praise God) - Alexander Gretchaninov

Colleen Fay will lead the pre-concert discussion, moderated by Robert Aubry Davis.
Ms. Fay is a singer, composer, arts critic and lecturer active in the Washington, DC area. She has performed with numerous organizations including the Washington National Opera and the Wolf Trap Opera Company. A Washington Post critic had called her singing, “stylistically impressive and particularly distinguished.” A recent recording of her compositions was supported by a grant from the D. C. Commission on Arts and Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Arts. She has been the music critic on Public Television’s “Around Town” for more than 20 years and regularly appears on National Public Radio’s “Metro Connection” heard on Washington’s WAMU-FM. Prior to December 2007, Colleen was known as Peter Fay.
Pre-concert discussions are held at 2:30 in Perry Auditorium on the 7th floor of the Cathedral. These discussions are free and open to all. Perry Auditorium can be reached via the elevators at the West End of the Cathedral.
